The Golden Ticket for “Best Halloween Event” has been given to Halloween Horror Nights 11 times. The 31st iteration of this must-attend event promises to bring to life the very best in frights from the past, present, and future, according to Tony Timpone, editor of Fangoria magazine, who said, “After visiting scream parks all across the US for the last 20 years, I can easily say that Universal’s is the best in the business… Halloween Horror Nights are the ultimate Halloween experience.”
What dates are there for Halloween Horror Nights this year?
From Friday, September 2 to Monday, October 31, 2022, is the timeframe for Halloween Horror Nights. The overall number of event nights is 43, which is the highest ever. There is also a chance that Universal may add additional dates, as they did in both 2018 and 2019. Remember in mind that we have cheap single-night tickets available! The event nights for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 end at 6:30 PM and wrap up (for the first time in the event’s history) at 2:00 AM.
Does Halloween Horror Nights need a separate ticket?
Yes! As a separately ticketed event, Halloween Horror Nights means admission in order to pay. Please be aware that, unlike other famous Universal yearly events like Mardi Gras, buying a ticket to Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure during the day does not automatically entitle you to admission to Horror Nights.
On the other mind, remember that paying for HHN admission does not get you access to the parks throughout the day. Tower of Fantasy Free Download For Android/iPhone, Mobile/PC 2022
We strongly advise buying your tickets in advance if you plan to attend this event. It would be sad to travel to Universal Orlando all pumped up for the night to arrive only to discover that all of the tickets have already been purchased. You may print online tickets at home, allowing you to walk right up to the turnstiles.
On what night in 2022 will Halloween Horror Nights be the busiest?
We wanted to respond to this question straight immediately since it is the most frequent one we get. Here are some of the finest nights to attend Halloween Horror Nights, in our opinion:
Sept. 4, 7, 8, 11, 15, 18, 21, 22, 28, 29
Oct. 5, 12, 19, 31
The following nights, in our opinion, will see the most visitors to Halloween Horror Nights:
Sept. 16, 23, 30
Oct. 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29
In a broader sense, Saturdays are the busiest days at every theme park event. On the other side, this means that Wednesdays during the first two weeks usually experience the least amount. Nintendo Switch Games Free Download For Mobile/iPhone Or PC
Will Halloween Horror Nights allow early entry?
If the early entrance to Halloween Horror Nights is ever provided, make sure to take advantage of it. It is typically accessible for the whole event to any visitor who has a daily Universal Studios Florida admission and can enter the turnstiles before 5:00 pm. For further information on early access, please refer to our handbook.
What if early access is not available? We advise arriving early to the event; line up at the entrance gates at least one hour before it starts (especially on a weekend night). Even though it may still be light outside and the ambiance may not have completely developed, arriving early is your best option if you want to tour the houses with the least amount of waiting for the wait. Apple iPhone 14 Release Dates & Colors in USA or UK Official
There is still hope that there may be few lineups if you arrive at the event later than anticipated. The later it gets, the shorter the wait times will be since many of those early birds become weary and leave the park before the event concludes (keep in mind that, on many dates, Halloween Horror Nights is open until 2:00 am). Although utilizing HHN early access may be preferable, arriving at 8:00 pm and departing before 11:00 pm is preferable to using this option. Will Diagon Alley be open during the event nights of Halloween Horror Nights 2022?
Yes, we believe it will, however, we must always wait for formal confirmation from Universal. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, however, has remained open to tourists during the scare fest for the last six events, enabling them to ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and explore all of the other wizarding stores. Just be aware that whether the area is open or not, no seasonal decorations or other changes will be up. Note that Gringotts does indeed shut early.
What is the theme for Halloween Horror Nights in 2022?
The event’s theme for this year has not yet been announced. The theme from the previous year focused on Jack the Clown, a longstanding HHN fixture. Auto Insurance Quotes – Cheap Car Insurance
How many scare zones and haunted houses are planned?
There will be a whopping ten haunted houses for the fourth consecutive year, making this Horror Nights’ greatest roster yet. Additionally, Universal has confirmed a total of five scare zones and two live performances, which is the same as in past years. For more information on each of those elements, scroll down.
What are the scary houses during Halloween Horror Nights 2022?
The Weeknd during Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Orlando
Halloween Horror Nights have many horrific performances, scare zones, and other horrifying events, but its main draws are its haunted houses.
The best way to define HHN haunts is as “movie-set quality” recreations of weird and frightful settings. Each house also referred to as a labyrinth, is inside and is typically set up in an abandoned line area for a daytime attraction or a Universal soundstage. Professional Indemnity Insurance Explained – A Simple Guide
These haunts use every terrifying effect you can think of to scare you, including horrible monsters, spine-tingling audio effects, loud music, narrow corridors, strobe lights, air bursts, mirror effects, and, of course, highly elaborate – and sometimes quite gory – props and set decorating. The most of the experience, guests are pushed through the houses in a constant stream (more like a conga line than being “pulsed” through in tiny groups), and each labyrinth typically lasts three to four minutes once they are inside.
The themes of the haunted houses have been unique ideas for a large portion of the event’s history. However, in more recent years, Universal has referred based an increasing number of its Halloween mazes on third-party licenses, which fans sometimes refer to as intellectual properties, or IPs. Examples of these include AMC’s The Walking Dead and, more recently, Netflix’s Stranger Things. The lineup for this year has four IPs thus far.

The songs “In Your Eyes,” “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights,” “Save Your Tears” (solo version), and “Too Late” are among those that are included.

A common phobia that many people have is that of bugs, which is the share of this house. It means a simple idea, so a fun house will probably be able to apply it. Visitors will enter a futuristic home with a 1950s motif and discover that many things have gone horribly, horribly wrong for this family. Once you pass the welcome mat, the infestation worsens and turns into a nightmare for exterminators and everyone else who fears bugs.

The premise is straightforward: after the end of the world, people are compelled to relocate into subway tubes and adjust to life below in New York City. The underpass is full of mutant people, though, who are eager to pounce on anybody who gets in their way. They can be filled lurking around every corner. Dare to enter, but make sure you don’t end up as a meal.

The Chupacabras Festival
Over the years, HHN has included “Day of the Dead”-like elements, but none that has explicitly alluded to the holiday as this house does. The Day of the Dead is a holiday with a rich heritage that is celebrated mostly in Mexico but also throughout Latin America. It contrasts the pain and loss brought on by death with the happiness and beauty we find in life by using patterns like skeletons and vibrant colors.
The Chupacabra is a little legendarily kangaroo-like creature with spines down its back sometimes and a mix of scales and hair in most cases. The Chupacabra is known for its vampiric tendency of drawing blood from animals. The Chupacabra is being celebrated during Halloween Horror Nights 2022 because of the chupacabra’s huge concentration of sightings in Latin America, which has made it somewhat of an icon.

Halloween Horror Nights 2022’s Sweet Revenge Scare Zone
What are the scare zones for Halloween Horror Nights 2022?
Scare zones, which are basically outdoor haunted houses set up in open spaces throughout Universal Studios Florida, will stop you in your tracks as you walk between attractions (for example, in the street area of New York, right in front of Revenge of the Mummy). Generally speaking, the decorations and effects are not nearly as elaborate as the houses. However, there are still numerous techniques used to frighten guests, and the “oversized” features that certain zones are allowed to have since they are outside can make them just as terrifying as the typical haunt. This is especially true for the horrifying part of you that enjoys hearing other people scream uncontrollably!

The Pumpkin Lord is back and scarier than ever in Horrors of Halloween (Production Central). His summoned witches, demons, ghosts, and more urge guests to enter Halloween Horror Nights against their better judgment. Enter the 31st year with all the thrills and frights it has to offer. To greet guests, the enormous, scaffolded “Halloween Horror Nights” sign from 2021 has returned.
Halloween Horror Nights 2022
Scarecrow: Cursed Soil (Central Park) – In Central Park, a straightforward horror from the Midwest comes to life. The suspicious scarecrows are warned to stay away from by flickering lamps, but despite your senses, you are drawn in. Or was it just your mind playing tricks on you when you thought you heard something rustling in the bushes? These night straw troops are seeking to exact their retribution.
Conjure the Dark (San Francisco) – Without witches, what would Halloween Horror Nights be? The focal point of the scare zone is a stage that was probably set up for sacrifices. The ominous atmosphere of the scare zone is created by runes, enchantments, and rockwork. Can you interpret the runes in time to defend yourself from her supernatural army? This scare zone and the Spirits of the Coven house make for the season’s most obvious combination.
Too close to home for Sweet Revenge (New York)? This Halloween carnival gone awry is the scare zone. Candy, parades, and music—elements of a joyful Halloween celebration—are all turned upside down to become rotten and nasty. The Major Sweets Sweets Co. is to blame for this dark turn of events since it gave the neighborhood children candy, which led to their metamorphosis into ruthless murders.
Deadly Unrest at the Graveyard (Hollywood): Be calm; don’t spook the dead. This lovely, gothic-style cemetery allows you to see the darker side of Hollywood. A testament to the dead is provided by large mausoleums built around ominous archways and sharp spires. Can you escape the reanimated corpses whose souls you have been set upon?
What live stage productions are there during Halloween Horror Nights 2022?
Every year, Halloween Horror Nights put on wild and distinctive performances that are typically the only time visitors are allowed to unwind. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure used to be the main attraction here, but in 2017 Universal ended the production after an incredible 27-year run (you can read our full accounting of the reasons why, as well as a full-on retrospective of the show, in our in-depth feature).

What extra experiences are available at the hotels during Halloween Horror Nights 2022?
In its numerous hotels over the past few years, Universal has increasingly experimented with integrating special tie-in experiences, and 2022 is no exception.

Resort at Cabana Bay Beach
The majority of the action, like previously, will take place at Cabana Bay Beach Resort, where two distinct elements will be involved:
In the Universal Monsters Gallery of Legends, you may take pictures in scenes modeled by The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and Dracula while taking pleasure in your stay at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Note that only guests staying at hotels owned by Universal Orlando Resort are eligible for this experience.
Swizzle Lounge will be transformed into the Spooky Swizzle Lounge for Halloween. In the past, this hotel’s lobby bar has included unique Horror Nights-themed drinks and nibbles, as well as a collection of costumes and props from the event’s run.
What about the additional hotels in Universal Orlando?
You should not worry if you are staying at one of the other seven Universal Orlando properties. In the past, a unique admission gate for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida was open to all guests of the Universal Orlando Resort hotels. For 2022, this has not yet been confirmed.
Tribute Store for Halloween Horror Nights 2022
Many of the normal attractions are open during Halloween Horror Nights, but since the horror thrills and chills take center stage, they are often walk-ons. The following is the past list, even if the specifics for 2022 have not yet confirm:
The 2022 Tribute Store’s early development
The beloved Tribute Store has been around for seven years. Halloween Horror Nights would be difficult to fathom without it since the Tribute Store now virtually functions as a standalone experience and attraction. This store will be styled after the highlighted scare zones at the event this year for the first time in its history. While shopping for Halloween decorations, this year’s gifts, and specialty foods, take a tour of a pumpkin patch, graveyard, witch’s home, and Halloween celebration.
The 2022 Tribute Store’s early development
The Tribute Store returned to Team Members and Annual Passholders on August 26 of last year, and the lines and crowds that day were a testament to how excited HHN fans were for this venerable component to return. It first debuted in 2015 (quite modestly), settling at Aftermath, the gift store connected to the now-defunct Twister… Ride It Out attraction (which is today Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon).
It was always intended to be a collection of Halloween Horror Nights merchandise, but in its initial incarnation, it was constrained by the storefront it was renting; rather, it gave the impression of being a Twister-focused store that had briefly been infected by the Halloween spirit. Even so, Tribute more than lived up to its name by also gathering a sizable variety of props, both large and small, from past events. These ranged from smaller objects that took up space on the floor (like the Terra Queen’s chopper from 2005) to larger objects that were mounted on the wall (like Resident Evil’s dog puppets from just two years earlier).
During the 2022 Tribute Store’s opening hours, crowds assemble.
The development of the Tribute Store happened quickly. It moved into its now-customary residence in the Macy’s façade immediately next to Revenge of the Mummy starting the very following year, in 2016, and took up residence in two rooms that were created especially for the purpose.
The debut of Stranger Things in 2018 modified how Universal first divided up its catalog of diverse intellectual properties, which made up the majority of that year’s haunted houses, between these two rooms (just as the franchise did with practically everything else HHN).
In the next years, at least one room would be solely devoted to one IP, and in 2019 a third themed area would be added, providing still more variety to the mix (the Tribute Store that year consisted of Ghostbusters-, Stranger Things-, and Universal Monsters-themed spaces). 2021 appeared to break tradition with all of the rooms in the Tribute Store being designed in original theming, excluding IPs, even though it was still in its well-established four-room layout.
The notorious HHN Bear has a Twitter account of his own, as well as a place in the 2022 Tribute Store.
The 2021 Tribute Store’s façade had a notable, traditional haunted house style that outshines earlier facades in terms of richness and craftsmanship. Before approaching the store, one is given a threatening impression by elements like a stained glass window, a fake porch, and scalloped roof tiles. In contrast to other Tribute Stores, this one made you feel much more like you were entering a haunted house than a store.
Merchandise for Halloween Horror Nights in 2022
Merchandise for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 may be found at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
house-specific goods
A corresponding shirt and/or ornament have been released for each intellectual property house that has been announced for Halloween Horror Nights. The Weeknd has been the lone exception to this rule; at of time, no merchandise has been released available for him.
Halloween Horror Nights 2022 merchandise
He’s back and active all over again. Lil’ Boo has returned with his own line of merchandise in 2021, four years after admirers discovered the adorable pumpkin and gave him their names. Hats, earrings, buttons, leggings, signs, and other accessories are available.
The Dead Coconuts
At Halloween Horror Nights, the fun doesn’t end there. The cheerful haunts continue inside Universal CityWalk Orlando’s Red Coconut Club, which has been renovated and is now temporarily known as Dead Coconut Club for the Halloween season. By incorporating these recognizable faces into the décor and menu, this overlay will highlight Universal Monsters.
FAQ about Halloween Horror Nights in 2022
The most frequently asked questions and subjects regarding Universal’s well-liked yearly event have all been compiled here for your horror education.
With over 150,000 members, you’ll find all kinds of knowledge floating about in our OI Community Facebook page, so we highly advise you to ask all of your questions there if, for some reason, you still can’t find the answers you’re searching for.
Kids are permitted during Halloween Horror Nights.
There is no trick-or-treating, and there are no characters dressed in amiable attire; this event is unlike Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Walt Disney World Resort’s yearly family-friendly Halloween celebration set in Universal Orlando.
Halloween Horror Nights’ only goal is to frighten you; as a result, Universal strongly warns against bringing children under the age of 13. We tell people that Horror Nights is like a horror movie coming to life; if you enjoy horror movies, you’ll adore this event; if not, you may not.
Just so everyone is clear, the “children under the age of 13” phrase is a recommendation, not a regulation, thus you are welcome to bring your kids to HHN and Universal will not request evidence of age. Be informed that Universal has the right to refuse to refund used tickets or modify the valid date if any member of your group decides they do not enjoy the event and must leave early. This might be a costly risk since at least one adult will have to leave with a disgruntled youngster.
Kids’ Halloween Events at Universal Orlando
What activities are available to kids at Universal Orlando around Halloween, as mentioned in the section above?
For better or worse, Halloween Horror Nights is where Universal truly focuses all of its attention. For better or worse, the resort isn’t planning anything for children this year—at least, not on the scale and in the same way as Horror Nights.
Plan to take your small kids to SeaWorld’s Spooktacular or Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party if they wish to commemorate the holiday. Personally, we suggest going to SeaWorld since the Halloween event is free with normal admission and is also a fantastic experience.
Halloween Horror Nights: Is it too scary?
Despite not being a fan of horror in general, are you still considering attending the event? You should be, it turns out since there is more than enough to do here to justify staying at least one night. We go into great detail about this potential in our HHN guide for non-horror enthusiasts.
When my kids visit Universal Studios Florida during the day, would they feel frightened?
This is the other common query from parents of young kids. It’s not possible for Universal to take down everything HHN-related during regular daytime hours because many of the decorations for Halloween Horror Nights are elaborate and large. This means that sometimes you’ll see something that likes this when visiting Universal Studios Florida in September and October.
Decorations for the 2022 Halloween Horror Nights
The good news is that Universal doesn’t do any of the Halloween Horror Nights-specific activities during the daytime, including no scare actors, loud siren effects, unexpected air bursts, etc. There is therefore nothing to worry about while visiting Universal Studios Florida during the day, other than the large props scattered about the park. Since the sun is so bright, the majority of the HHN props really seem more comical than scary.
Consider the props to be a distraction. Remind your companions that you are visiting a real movie set, so they should be prepared to see various props scattered around the park.
Does Halloween Horror Nights require me to pay for parking?
After 6:00 pm, Universal typically provides free parking for the majority of the year. However, during Halloween Horror Nights, plan to pay full price — $27 for standard self-parking and $60 for preferred self-parking — until at least 10:00 pm. In addition, Premier remember holders should read in mind that the free valet parking perk is not accessible during HHN (for more information, see our comprehensive insider’s guide to yearly passes).
It would be appropriate at this point to remind our readers that overnight parking is not allowed at Universal’s major parking garages. Plan a budget and book a room with Universal at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort or Endless Summer Resort for the night if you believe you would need to do this.
What if it pours while Halloween Horror Nights are going on?
Despite the fact that Florida is known as “The Sunshine State,” it rained a lot throughout the events’ run in September and October. Check the weather report before heading to Halloween Horror Nights, and think about arriving in additional layers of clothes and rain ponchos. Additional clothing will not only stay you warm and dry, but it might act as a psychological barrier between you and the prowling demon hordes.
We advise carrying a pair of sunglasses if you plan to attend on a bright evening so that you may use them while standing in line to make you get used to the lack of light inside the haunts.
Lockers may also be rented; for more information, check our comprehensive guide on rental and ride lockers.
Don’t worry if you forget your light jacket or sweater; Universal has enough Horror Nights clothing that they can’t wait for you to purchase. For bulkier apparel items like sweatshirts, just be prepared to pay roughly $60.
Does Islands of Adventure at Universal host Halloween Horror Nights?
In general, Islands of Adventure has little to nothing to do with Halloween; in fact, it’s sometimes difficult to determine that the holiday is even taking part.
There is one significant exception, however, and it’s a biggie: starting in 2019, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade welcomed a new seasonal projection-mapping performance. The event, known as Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle, is a celebration of everything sinister and frightening in Harry’s fantastical world, but for lovers of both Halloween and Harry Potter, the greatest part is the sporadic preshow, which has Death Eaters stalking the streets of Hogsmeade Village. Even if it’s not a holiday, it’s still enjoyable and a little bit eerie.
A holiday gift store in Lost Continent with a Halloween theme is called All Hallows Eve Boutique. You can find Halloween Horror Nights merchandise as well as other holiday treats.
